Hammond EN4SD20206WGY 20x20x6" Type 4 Window Wallmount Enclosure, Gray

The EN4SD20206WGY is an Eclipse Series Type 4 mild steel wallmount enclosure measuring 20 x 20 x 6 in (508 mm x 508 mm x 152 mm), fitted with a hinged window door and quarter turn latches. It is designed to enclose electrical and/or electronic equipment in wallmount applications where viewing of component operation is necessary while maintaining protection ratings, so panel builders and OEM engineers can check equipment without opening the door.

The square 20 x 20 in footprint gives an even mounting field. Its 6 in depth keeps the enclosure shallow against the wall. The drawing shows a door opening of 18.52 in wide by 18.52 in high, and collar studs are provided for mounting the optional EP2020 inner panel (18.20 in (462 mm) H x 18.20 in (462 mm) W), which is sold separately.

The body is formed from 16 gauge steel with smooth, continuously welded seams ground smooth and a formed lip to exclude flowing liquids and contaminants. A full view UV resistant polycarbonate window allows maximum viewing of the inner panel, and a seamless poured-in place gasket seals the door. Hinges are 304 stainless steel with stainless steel hinge pins, and the zinc diecast quarter turn latches carry a black epoxy finish and require a tool to open. Cover and enclosure are phosphatized and powder finished inside and out in ANSI 61 smooth Gray (GY); the RAL7035 light gray version is EN4SD20206WLG.

For installation, a hardware kit with panel mounting nuts and sealing washers for the wall mounting holes is included, and a bonding stud on the door plus a grounding stud in the enclosure simplify earthing. The EN4SD20206WGY is listed to UL 508A and CSA Type 3R, 4 and 12 (UL File E65324, CSA Cert. LR21001), complies with NEMA 3R, 4 and 12 and IEC 60529 IP66, and is REACH and RoHS compliant. Shipping weight is 26 lbs (11.79 kg).
