Hammond EN4SD16208SS 16x20x8 In 304 Stainless Type 4X Wallmount Enclosure

The EN4SD16208SS is a Type 4X Eclipse Series wallmount enclosure measuring 16 in x 20 in x 8 in (406 mm x 508 mm x 203 mm), built from 304 stainless steel to enclose electrical and/or electronic equipment and protect it against harsh, industrial environments. It is the 304 stainless steel version of this size; the 316 stainless equivalent is EN4SD16208S16. It suits panel builders, OEM engineers and electricians who need a sealed, corrosion-resistant box on a wall.

The body is formed from 16 gauge stainless steel with continuously welded seams ground smooth, and a formed lip on the enclosure excludes flowing liquids and contaminants. A seamless poured-in-place gasket seals the hinged door, which uses Latch Type A: stainless steel slotted quarter turns with stainless steel hinge pins. Cover and enclosure are natural stainless steel with a smooth brushed finish.

Per the part drawing, the door opening is 18.52 in wide by 14.52 in high, with 18.00 x 14.00 in of clear space available on the door. Inside depth is 8.71 in, and wall mounting holes (Ø0.50 in) are spaced 18.50 in by 14.50 in. Shipping weight is 24 lbs (10.89 kg). Collar studs are provided for an inner panel; the matching optional panel is EP1620, 14.20 in (361 mm) high by 18.20 in (462 mm) wide.

The EN4SD16208SS is listed to UL 508A Type 3R, 4, 4X and 12 (UL File E65324) and CSA Type 3R, 4, 4X and 12 (CSA Cert. LR21001), and complies with NEMA 3R, 4, 4X, 12 and 13 and IEC 60529 IP 66. A mounting foot kit is required to maintain UL/CSA external mounting requirements. It is RoHS and REACH compliant, and the included hardware kit supplies panel mounting nuts and sealing washers for the wall mounting holes.
