Hammond EN4SD161610LG 16x16x10 in Type 4 Wallmount Enclosure, Light Gray

The Hammond Eclipse EN4SD161610LG is a Type 4 mild steel wallmount enclosure measuring 16 x 16 x 10 in (406 x 406 x 254 mm) with a single hinged door and slotted quarter-turn latching (latch Type A). It is designed to enclose electrical and electronic equipment and protect it against harsh industrial environments, with a square 16 x 16 in face, for panel builders, electricians and OEM engineers.

The body is formed from 16 gauge steel with smooth, continuously welded seams ground smooth, and a formed lip around the opening helps exclude flowing liquids and contaminants. A seamless poured-in-place gasket seals the door, which hangs on hidden 304 stainless steel hinges with stainless steel pins. The quarter-turn latches are zinc diecast with a black epoxy finish. Enclosure and cover are phosphatized and finished inside and out in a recoatable textured RAL 7035 light gray powder coat; the same size in ANSI 61 gray is EN4SD161610GY.

The body is 10 in (254 mm) deep behind a 16 x 16 in face. The drawing shows a door opening of 14.52 in wide by 14.52 in high and 14.00 x 14.00 in of clear space available on the door. Collar studs are provided for mounting an inner panel; the matching optional panel is EP1616, measuring 14.20 in (361 mm) high by 14.20 in (361 mm) wide. Shipping weight is 23 lbs (10.43 kg).

For installation, the EN4SD161610LG includes a hardware kit with panel mounting nuts and sealing washers for the wall mounting holes, which are 0.50 in diameter on a 14.50 x 14.50 in pattern per the drawing. A bonding stud is provided on the door and a grounding stud is installed in the enclosure. The door swing can be reversed with adapter kit EHLLSAK. The series is listed to UL 508A and CSA Type 3R, 4 and 12 (UL File E65324, CSA LR21001), complies with IEC 60529 IP66 and NEMA Type 3R, 4 and 12, and a mounting foot kit is required to maintain UL/CSA external mounting requirements.
