Hammond EN4SD12248LG 12x24x8" Type 4 Steel Wallmount Enclosure, Light Gray

The EN4SD12248LG is a 12 x 24 x 8 in (305 mm x 610 mm x 203 mm) Eclipse Series Type 4 mild steel wallmount enclosure with a single hinged door and slotted quarter-turn latching (latch type A). It is designed to enclose electrical and electronic equipment and protect it in harsh industrial environments for wallmount applications. This wide 24 in by 12 in high body steps up to 8 in of depth, for horizontal layouts that need deeper components than the 6 in version allows.

The enclosure is formed from formed steel with smooth, continuously welded seams ground smooth and a formed lip that excludes flowing liquids and contaminants. A seamless poured-in-place gasket seals the door, which hangs on 304 stainless steel hinges with stainless steel hinge pins; the door is removable for modifications and interchangeable. The quarter-turn latches are zinc diecast with a black epoxy finish. This is the RAL 7035 light gray version, phosphatized and finished in a textured recoatable powder coat inside and out; the ANSI 61 smooth gray equivalent is EN4SD12248GY.

No inner panel is included: the matching optional panel is EP1224, 10.20 in high by 22.20 in wide, and collar studs are provided to mount it. Per the drawing, the door opening is 22.52 x 10.52 in and there is 10.00 x 22.00 in of clear space on the door. A hardware kit with panel mounting nuts and sealing washers for the wall mounting holes is included, along with a bonding stud on the door and a grounding stud in the enclosure. Door swing can be reversed with adapter kit EHLLSAK.

Ratings are UL 508A and CSA Type 3R, 4, and 12 (UL File E65324, CSA Cert. LR21001); a mounting foot kit is required to maintain UL/CSA external mounting requirements. It also complies with NEMA Type 3R, 4, and 12 and IEC 60529 IP66, is REACH and RoHS compliant, and ships in a box at 22 lbs (9.98 kg).
