The EN4DSC24228SS is an Eclipse Series Type 4X wallmount disconnect enclosure in type 304 stainless steel, measuring 24 in H x 22 in W x 8 in D (610 mm x 559 mm x 203 mm). It is built to house flange-mounted safety disconnect equipment from ABB, Allen Bradley, Cutler Hammer, Siemens I-T-E, General Electric and Square D, making it a fit for integrators and electricians specifying a corrosion resistant NEMA 4X enclosure. Compared with the 20 x 22 in size it adds 4 in of height at the same 22 in width and 8 in depth, and takes a taller 22.17 x 18.17 in optional panel.
Construction uses formed 14 gauge doors with 16 gauge type 304 stainless steel, joined by continuously welded seams. A formed lip on the door and enclosure excludes flowing liquids and contaminants, and a seamless poured-in-place gasket seals the door. Cutouts and holes are provided to suit the flange handle operating mechanism, and the door is secured with an easily operated 2 or 3 point, padlockable handle. A cover interlock bracket is included on the door, and doors can be easily removed for modifications and are interchangeable.
Collar studs are provided for mounting an inner panel, which is sold separately: the series table matches this enclosure with the EP2420 optional panel at 22.17 x 18.17 in (563 x 462 mm). The part drawing shows a 18.44 in wide by 22.38 in high door opening and 0.50 in diameter wall mounting holes spaced 20.50 in by 22.50 in. A hardware kit with panel mounting nuts and sealing washers for the wall mounting holes is included, and a bonding stud on the door and grounding stud in the enclosure simplify earthing.
