Hammond EJ444AL 4x4x4 In Type 4X Aluminum Hinged Junction Box

The EJ444AL is a 4 x 4 x 4 in (102 x 102 x 102 mm) Eclipse Junior Type 4X aluminum junction box, the deeper of the two 4 x 4 sizes, with a continuous hinge cover and 316 stainless steel quarter turn latches. The extra inch of depth over the EJ443AL gives more wire-bending room in a small splice box for wet or corrosive locations.

The body is 0.08 in Type 5052 H-32 aluminum with smooth, continuously welded seams and no knockouts, cutouts or holes; a formed lip on the enclosure excludes flowing liquids and contaminants. The continuously hinged cover uses an aluminum hinge and opens 180 degrees; its quarter turn latches are formed from 316 stainless steel and need a tool to open. A seamless poured-in-place gasket seals the cover, and welded brackets provide for enclosure mounting. Cover and enclosure are natural unfinished aluminum, with a bonding stud on the door, a grounding stud on the enclosure, and grounding hardware provided.

The EJ444AL is 4 in x 4 in x 4 in (102 mm x 102 mm x 102 mm) (H x W x D). Like the EJ443AL, it is listed without an inner panel (N/A in the ordering table). For layout, the manufacturer drawing shows an overall height of 5.50 in including the mounting brackets and an overall depth of 4.62 in and a 3.24 x 3.24 in cover opening.
