Hammond EJ14128SS 14x12x8 In 304 Stainless Quarter-Turn Wall Enclosure

For control and wiring work in wet or corrosive locations, the EJ14128SS provides a 14 x 12 x 8 in (356 mm x 305 mm x 203 mm) housing in 16 gauge 304 stainless steel. Part of the Eclipse Junior series of Type 4X stainless junction boxes, it serves as an instrument enclosure, a control housing for electric, hydraulic or pneumatic equipment, a junction box or a terminal wiring enclosure where equipment may be hosed down.

Every seam is smooth and continuously welded, and the enclosure is supplied without knockouts, cutouts or holes so you machine only the entries you need. A formed lip excludes flowing liquids and contaminants, and a seamless poured-in-place gasket seals the cover. The cover is continuously hinged on stainless steel hinges for 180° opening and closes with 316 stainless quarter-turn latches that need a tool to open. Cover and body share a natural stainless steel smooth brushed finish.

Key working dimensions for the EJ14128SS: door opening 13.25 x 11.25 in, usable depth 7.97 in, and clear space on the door of 12.76 x 10.83 in. A removable 14 gauge galvanized inner panel (12.75 in (324 mm) x 10.88 in (276 mm)) comes installed on tapped studs, in unpainted galvanized steel. Shipping weight is 20 lbs (9.07 kg).

The EJ14128SS wall mounts through 14 gauge welded brackets with 0.31 in holes set 14.75 in apart vertically. It includes a door bonding stud, an enclosure grounding stud with 10-32 thread, and grounding and panel mounting hardware. Compliance includes UL 508A and CSA Type 3R, 4, 4X, 12 and 13, NEMA Type 3R, 4, 4X, 12 and 13, IEC 60529 IP66, REACH and RoHS.
