Hammond EJ10125 10x12x5 in Type 4 Steel Junction Box, ANSI 61 Gray

The EJ10125 is an Eclipse Junior Series Type 4 mild steel junction box measuring 10.00 in (254 mm) high, 12.00 in (305 mm) wide and 5.00 in (127 mm) deep. It is designed to enclose electrical and/or electronic equipment and protect it against harsh, industrial environments, and is finished in ANSI 61 smooth gray (GY). With 5 in of depth (4.94 in usable per the drawing), the EJ10125 leaves room for deeper components in electric, hydraulic or pneumatic control housings.

Body and cover are formed from 16 gauge steel with smooth, continuously welded seams and no knockouts, cutouts or holes, so you add only the entries your job needs. A formed lip on the enclosure helps exclude flowing liquids and contaminants, and a seamless poured-in-place gasket seals the cover. The recoatable powder finish is applied inside and out.

The continuously hinged cover uses 304 stainless steel hinges and opens 180°. Black zinc diecast quarter-turn latches have a slot that requires a tool to open, adding a measure of safety. Inside, a removable 14 gauge galvanized inner panel measuring 8.88 in (226 mm) x 10.75 in (273 mm) mounts on internal threaded weld studs; the inner panel is unpainted galvanized steel. A bonding stud on the door and a grounding stud on the enclosure are provided, along with grounding and panel mounting hardware.

Welded 14 gauge brackets handle wall mounting; per the drawing, overall height including the brackets is 11.50 in with 10.75 x 10.00 in bracket hole centres and Ø0.31 in holes. The EJ10125 is listed to UL 508A and CSA Type 3R, 4, 12 and 13 (UL File E65324, CSA Cert. LR21001), complies with NEMA Type 3R, 4, 12 and 13 and IEC 60529 IP66, and is REACH and RoHS compliant. It is also offered as EJ10125LG in RAL 7035 textured light gray.
