Hammond EHLPLSS Padlockable Stainless Steel L Handle, NEMA 4X

The Hammond EHLPLSS is a padlockable L handle in stainless steel from the Eclipse Handles EHL Series. It combines padlock security with a NEMA 12, 4, 4X rating, suiting stainless enclosures in corrosive or washdown environments where doors must be secured.

The handle is field installable and interchangeable with standard quarter turn latches. The EHL Series maintains NEMA, UL and CSA ratings as noted, and the EHLPLSS is listed under UL File # E65324 and CSA Cert. # LR21001.

Zinc die cast chrome padlockable versions are also offered in the series: the EHLPL, rated NEMA 12, with the padlock mounting onto the handle, and the EHLPL2, rated NEMA 12, 4, with the padlock mounting using an included adapter below the handle. Of the three padlockable handles, only the stainless steel version carries the NEMA 4X rating, which makes it the choice for stainless steel enclosures that must stay Type 4X after the latch is upgraded.
