Hammond DTS3161SLA2N3LG 230V Type 3R/4 Outdoor Slimline Air Conditioner

The DTS3161SLA2N3LG is a 230 V, 50/60 Hz outdoor slimline air conditioner with a Type 3R, 4 rating and RAL7035 light gray finish. Part of the DTS SL outdoor series, it side mounts on any enclosure surface where hot spot or low capacity cooling is required, making it suitable for outdoor control and electrical enclosures specified by integrators and facilities teams.

Rated cooling capacity is 5648 BTU/h (1654 W) at +95/+95 °F (+35/+35 °C). Closed loop cooling keeps clean enclosure air recirculating without mixing with contaminated ambient air, and high capacity fans provide 350 CFM of internal and 350 CFM of external circulation (unrestricted). The R134a circuit holds a 700 g charge and uses an expansion valve to improve evaporator heat transfer with less frequent compressor operation.

It operates from 198-253 V, consumes 890 W, and draws 4.49 A running and 14.8 A at start, wired through a terminal block. The thermostat, accessible from inside the enclosure, adjusts from +59 to +113 °F (+15 to +45 °C) with a +95 °F (+35 °C) factory setting. The outdoor model is specified for ambient air from +32 °F (0 °C) up to +131 °F (+55 °C). It is filterless, removes condensate with a condensate evaporator and runs under 70 dB(A).

The case is galvanized sheet steel and the unit weighs 108 lbs (49 kg); shipping weight is 113 lbs (51.26 kg). UL, cUL and CE approvals apply, and the DTS3161SLA2N3LG includes startup self-diagnostics, LED fault indication, door-contact power-down, the gasket, mounting kit and template, plus a condensate drain hose and clamp.
