Hammond DTFK1AC254 550 CFM Intake Fan Kit With Adjustable Thermostat

The DTFK1AC254 is a thermostat-controlled intake fan kit for rack cabinets and industrial enclosures, intended for IT and AV integrators, electricians, OEM engineers and facilities teams who need forced-air cooling that runs only when the enclosure actually gets warm. It is the largest airflow option in the DTFK Series, using a 10.00 in (254 mm) fan rated at 550 CFM unimpeded.

An integrated adjustable thermostat switches the fan on as internal temperatures rise and off again once the set point is restored, with an adjustment range of 32°F to 140°F (0°C to 60°C). Reducing continuous fan operation helps decrease noise, energy consumption and fan wear compared with continuously running cooling systems. Noise is rated at 70 dB, measured at 12 in to 24 in from the source.

The kit operates on 115 VAC and ships with a 72.00 in (1829 mm) power cord terminated in a NEMA 5-15P plug, so no hard-wiring is required. Each DTFK Series kit includes the fan, integrated thermostat, 6-foot power cord, chrome safety grill and mounting hardware. The DTFK1AC254 assembly measures 11 in x 11 in x 4.9 in (279 mm x 279 mm x 124 mm) nominal and weighs 8.5 lbs (3.86 kg).

Mounting uses an inner mounting panel and eight #10-32 x 0.625 in panhead taptite Phillips screws: remove the front grill and filter from a PFA60000 already installed on the cabinet, sandwich the PFA60000 housing between the DTFK1AC254 inner panel and housing assembly, install the screws, then reattach the filter grill. The part is filter-compatible with PFA60000 and NWMFH2. Fan components are UL 507 recognized and CSA certified; the kit is TAA, RoHS and REACH compliant and manufactured in North America.
