Hammond CWST824NK 8x8, 24-Inch Hinge Cover Wireway, No Knockouts

The CWST824NK is a 8 x 8 in hinge cover straight section of Type 1 lay-in wireway, 24 in (610 mm) long and made without knockouts. Its length matches the 24 in hinge spacing used on CW Series hinge covers, making it a practical building block for electricians, OEM machine builders and facilities teams laying out indoor wireway runs.

The body and cover are formed from 16 or 14 gauge steel and finished in ANSI 61 gray. CW Series hinge covers are hinged on 24 in centers, and this section carries a single 23.94 in hinged cover. The interior is unobstructed to speed up laying of cables, and because this is a no-knockout (NK) section the walls are left plain. A version with knockouts is listed as CWST824, and a screw cover version without knockouts as CWSC824NK.

Nominal size is 8 in x 8 in x 24 in (203 mm x 203 mm x 610 mm). The drawing shows a 8 in x 8 in inside cross-section, a cover width of 8.42 in and outside body dimensions of 8.14 in. Shipping weight is 14 lbs (6.35 kg), and the part ships in a box.

Construction is designed to ensure electrical continuity and to permit fast, easy indoor installation of multiple wireway runs. Optional hanger brackets allow vertical or horizontal mounting: the wall type bracket for this size is CWHW8 and the ceiling type is CWHD8. Effective May 4, 2026, joiners are no longer included with straight sections, so order the 8 x 8 joiner CWJO8 separately as required.

The CWST824NK is covered by the series standards UL-870 Type 1 and cUL Type 1, and complies with IEC 60529, IP20. It is listed under UL File E186830 and is RoHS and REACH compliant.
