Hammond CWST672NK 6x6, 72-Inch Hinge Cover Wireway, No Knockouts

The CWST672NK is a 6 x 6 in hinge cover straight section of Type 1 lay-in wireway measuring 72 in (1,829 mm) long, supplied without knockouts. It is intended for electricians, panel shops and facilities teams running multiple indoor wireway runs, where a hinged lay-in cover lets cable be placed into the trough rather than pulled through it.

The body and cover are formed from 16 or 14 gauge steel and finished in ANSI 61 gray. CW Series hinge covers are hinged on 24 in centers, and this section carries a single 71.94 in hinged cover. The interior is unobstructed to speed up laying of cables, and because this is a no-knockout (NK) section the walls are left plain. A version with knockouts is listed as CWST672, and a screw cover version without knockouts as CWSC672NK.

Nominal size is 6 in x 6 in x 72 in (152 mm x 152 mm x 1,829 mm). The drawing shows a 6 in x 6 in inside cross-section, a cover width of 6.36 in and outside body dimensions of 6.11 in x 6.06 in. Shipping weight is 31 lbs (14.06 kg), and the part ships in a box.

Construction is designed to ensure electrical continuity and to permit fast, easy indoor installation of multiple wireway runs. Optional hanger brackets allow vertical or horizontal mounting: the wall type bracket for this size is CWHW6 and the ceiling type is CWHD6. Effective May 4, 2026, joiners are no longer included with straight sections, so order the 6 x 6 joiner CWJO6 separately as required.

The CWST672NK is covered by the series standards UL-870 Type 1 and cUL Type 1, and complies with IEC 60529, IP20. It is listed under UL File E186830 and is RoHS and REACH compliant.
