Hammond CWST236NK 2.5x2.5x36 In Hinge Cover Wireway, No Knockouts

Three feet of 2.5 x 2.5 in hinged wireway covers a mid-length indoor run in one piece. The CWST236NK is a 2.5 x 2.5 x 36 in hinge cover straight section without knockouts from the CW Type 1 Lay-In Wireway series. The series construction is designed to ensure electrical continuity and to permit fast and easy indoor installation of multiple wireway runs, making it a fit for electricians, panel shops and plant maintenance teams routing cable indoors.

Straight sections in the series are formed from 16 or 14 gauge steel and finished in ANSI 61 gray. The hinged cover opens onto an unobstructed interior that speeds up laying of cables. Hinge covers in this series are hinged on 24 in centers. This is the no-knockout version; the series lists the same size and length with knockouts as CWST236.

Nominal size is 2.5 in x 2.5 in x 36 in (64 mm x 64 mm x 914 mm), with a 2.50 in inside dimension. The drawing shows a door 2.86 in wide and 35.94 in long, and Ø0.27 in mounting holes on the back spaced 35.00 in apart along the length. Optional hanger brackets (CWHD2 ceiling type or CWHW2 wall type) allow vertical or horizontal mounting. Shipping weight is 7 lbs (3.18 kg).

The section is listed UL-870 Type 1 and cUL Type 1 under UL File E186830 and complies with IEC 60529 IP20; it is REACH and RoHS compliant. Effective May 4, 2026, joiners are no longer included with straight sections, so order the matching CWJO2 joiner separately as required.
