The CWSC612 is a short, 12 in (305 mm) straight section of Type 1 lay-in screw cover wireway with a larger 6 in x 6 in (152 mm x 152 mm) cross-section. It gives panel builders and electricians extra wiring space in a compact length, handy for bridging closely spaced enclosures or completing a 6 x 6 run to an exact dimension.
This is the painted Steel/Gray version and it includes knockouts. The drawing's Detail Z shows knockout diameters of 0.83 in and 0.88 in. As a lay-in wireway, conductors are set into the open channel and enclosed by the screw cover afterward, so the cover can be removed again when circuits are added.
