Hammond CWRD42G 4x4 to 2.5x2.5 Galvanized Wireway Reducer

The CWRD42G is the unpainted galvanized reducer in the CWRD Series for stepping wireway down from 4 x 4 to 2.5 x 2.5. It is suited to contractors and panel shops building galvanized wireway systems for machine building and general plant wiring who need to change to the smaller 2.5 x 2.5 size partway along a run.

The series specification sheet lists it in the Unpainted Galvanized table with a size of 4x4 to 2.5x2.5 (Short Description: REDUCER 4X4TO 2.5X2.5-GALV). The painted gray equivalent is CWRD42.

The manufacturer drawing for the CWRD42G shows a 6.00 in length, a 4.11 in outer dimension at the large end and 2.61 in at the small end, openings of 4.00 in and 2.50 in, sides tapered at 12° (168° included), and 0.27 in diameter mounting holes.

Because it is the smallest reducer in the CWRD Series, the CWRD42G is the fitting to choose when a galvanized 4 x 4 trunk needs to continue in 2.5 x 2.5 wireway. Specify matching galvanized 4 x 4 and 2.5 x 2.5 sections on either side so the unpainted finish stays consistent along the run, and order the painted CWRD42 instead if the rest of the system is gray.
