CST4404 is the 4-wire, 400 A (CU/AL) splitter trough in the 48 x 10 x 6 in CST Series body, listed in the manufacturer ordering table with splitter block reference CSBL400. It is intended for electricians, electrical contractors and facilities teams distributing a service to multiple loads in indoor locations.
The splitter block is factory installed and carries a 400 A copper / 400 A aluminum rating (CU/AL) per the ordering table, with block reference CSBL400. The series is designed for distribution of up to 600 A (max) service at 600 V max using 3 or 4 wires, with 75 °C conductor ampacity permitted. The 3-wire version of this size is CST4403, and an empty version is CST4400.
The trough is formed and spot welded from 14 gauge mild steel and measures 48 in high, 10 in wide and 6 in deep (1,219 mm x 254 mm x 152 mm). The drawing shows a front opening of 46.75 x 9.61 in. A series of knockouts is provided on each side, with 0.88, 1.13 and 1.38 in diameters shown on the part drawing, and the hinged door is secured with a screw and fitted with a padlocking hasp. Cover and enclosure are finished in recoatable smooth ANSI 61 gray powder coating.
The CST Series is CSA Certified and complies with IEC 60529, IP20 for Type 1 indoor use.
