Hammond CSKOG16168 16x16x8 In Deep Galvanized Screw Cover Junction Box

The CSKOG16168 is a Type 1 unpainted galvanized steel junction box from the CSKOG Series, measuring 16 x 16 x 8 in (406 mm x 406 mm x 203 mm). It has a flat screw cover and knockouts, and is designed for general purpose indoor commercial use as a junction, pull or switch box, making it a fit for electricians, contractors and facilities teams wiring commercial interiors.

It shares its 16 x 16 in face with the 6 in deep CSKOG16166 but steps up to 8 in of depth, the deepest option listed for this face size in the CSKOG series. The body is formed and spot welded from 16 gauge G90 steel, and both the enclosure and cover are left as unpainted galvanized steel. The flat steel cover is fastened with plated steel screws, and keyhole slots let the cover be lifted off without removing the screws entirely.

Easily removed knockouts are provided on all four sides; the part drawing for the CSKOG16168 shows knockout diameters of 0.76, 1.01, 1.13, 1.26, 1.38 and 1.75 in, and an overall depth of 8.06 in including the cover. Through holes in the back allow wall mounting, and a grounding location is embossed in the body.

The CSKOG Series is UL-50 Type 1 and CSA Type 1 (UL File E65324, CSA Certificate LR21001) and complies with NEMA Type 1 and IEC 60529 IP20.
