Hammond CSKO16143 16x14x3 in Type 1 Gray Steel Screw Cover Junction Box

The CSKO16143 is a 16 x 14 x 3 in (406 x 356 x 76 mm) Type 1 screw cover junction box from the CSKO Series, finished in ANSI 61 gray. It is designed for general purpose indoor commercial use as a junction, pull or switch box, making it a practical choice for electricians, contractors and facilities teams who need a painted steel enclosure with easily removed knockouts.

The body is formed and spot welded from 16 gauge steel (16 gauge applies to CSKO sizes up to 30 in x 24 in). A flat steel cover is fastened with plated steel screws, and keyhole slots in the cover let it be lifted off without removing the screws entirely. Enclosure and cover are finished in ANSI 61 gray powder coating. A grounding location is embossed in the body.

Enclosure size is 16.00 in high x 14.00 in wide x 3.00 in deep (406 x 356 x 76 mm); the drawing shows an overall depth of 3.06 in. Easily removed knockouts are provided on all 4 sides, with knockout diameters on the CSKO16143 drawing of 0.76 in, 1.01 in, 1.13 in, 1.26 in, 1.38 in, 1.75 in. At 3 in (76 mm) deep it is one of the shallow 3 in models in the CSKO range, which runs from 3 in to 10 in deep. Shipping weight is 12 lbs (5.44 kg), and the unit ships in a box.

Through holes in the back allow wall mounting; the drawing shows 0.28 in diameter back holes on 13.00 in x 13.00 in centres (width x height). The box is listed to UL-50 Type 1 (UL File E65324) and CSA Type 1 (CSA Cert. LR21001), complies with NEMA Type 1 and IEC 60529 IP20, and is REACH and RoHS compliant.
