The CS663 is a square 6 x 6 in Type 1 junction box with a shallow 3 in depth, a low-profile choice where the box has to sit close to the wall. Designed for general purpose indoor commercial use as a junction, pull or switch box, it suits electricians, contractors and facilities teams working on indoor wiring.
The CS663 is formed and spot welded from 16 gauge steel (the series uses 16 gauge for sizes up to 30 x 24 in). A flat steel cover is fastened with plated steel screws, and keyhole slots let the cover be lifted off without removing the screws entirely. The enclosure and cover are finished in ANSI 61 gray powder coating, and a grounding location is embossed in the body. The box has no knockouts.
