Hammond CS16168 16x16x8 in Type 1 Screw Cover Junction Box

The CS16168 is a square NEMA Type 1 mild steel junction box measuring 16 in high by 16 in wide by 8 in deep (406 x 406 x 203 mm). It belongs to the CS series of screw-cover boxes supplied without knockouts, and is designed for general purpose indoor commercial use as a junction, pull or switch box. Electricians, electrical contractors and facilities teams can use it wherever wiring needs an enclosed, accessible splice or pull point inside a building.

The body is formed and spot welded from steel; the series sheet specifies 16 gauge steel for sizes up to 30" x 24", which covers this 16" x 16" part. The manufacturer drawing shows an overall depth of 8.06 in with the cover fitted, and the box mounts to a wall through holes in the back.
