Hammond CN4SB203SS 225A 3-Wire Type 4X Stainless Splitter Box, 18x12x5

The CN4SB203SS is a 225/180 A CU/AL, 3-wire splitter box in the CN4SBSS series of Type 4X stainless steel splitter boxes. It is the mid-size stainless option for electricians who need to split a 225 A, 3-wire feed in a corrosive, washdown or outdoor location. The series is designed for distribution of up to 600 A (max) service at 600 V max, with 75° C conductor ampacity permitted.

The enclosure is 18 x 12 x 5 in (457 x 305 x 127 mm) H x W x D, with 5.85 in overall depth per the drawing. The part drawing shows a 17.97 x 11.97 in door, a 16.52 x 10.39 in door opening, a 16.17 x 10.17 in inner panel, and Ø0.50 in wall mounting holes on 16.50 x 10.50 in centres.

The body is formed 16 gauge Type 304 stainless steel, with the cover and enclosure left natural in a smooth brushed finish. Seams are continuously welded and ground smooth, and a formed lip plus seamless poured-in place gasket exclude flowing liquids and contaminants. Splitter blocks are factory installed (reference CSBL225). Quarter turn slot latches need a tool to open; hinges are 304 stainless steel with stainless steel pins, and the door is removable, interchangeable and stiffened where required. The white powder coated inner panel is included and mounts on collar studs.

The CN4SB203SS is CSA Type 3R, 12, 4X and complies with IEC 60529, IP66. It includes a hardware kit with panel mounting nuts and sealing washers, takes optional grounding kit CGK225, and ships at 17 lbs (7.71 kg). REACH and RoHS compliant.
