An 18 in, 4 x 4 in trough adds length over the 12 in model while keeping a slim cross-section. The CGT1844 is a 4 x 4 x 18 in Type 1 gutter trough with knockouts, designed for use as a junction or pull box. It is aimed at electricians, panel builders and facilities teams who need a compact steel enclosure to join, pull or route conductors in indoor Type 1 installations.
The body is formed and spot welded from 16 gauge steel, and the enclosure and cover are finished in ANSI 61 gray powder coating. A flat cover is secured with 6 10-32 screws, and two grounding point embosses on the enclosure body are formed into the body. At this length the cover is held by six screws.
Nominal size is 4 in x 4 in x 18 in (102 mm x 102 mm x 457 mm). The drawing shows knockout details at both ends with Ø1.38 in and Ø1.13 in diameters, plus 10 knockout details along the body with Ø1.13 in and Ø0.88 in diameters. Four Ø0.31 in mounting holes are provided on the back of the enclosure.
The trough is listed to UL870 Type 1 and cUL Type 1 under UL File E186830, and complies with NEMA Type 1 and IEC 60529 IP20. It is marked REACH and RoHS compliant, has a shipping weight of 6 lbs (2.72 kg) and ships in a box.
