Hammond CBA1985BK1 5U Steel Door Adapter Kit, 3U Rack Mount

The CBA1985BK1 is a door adapter rack mount kit from the Hammond CBA Series, designed exclusively for use with the C2 Cabinet Series. It installs within the frame width opening at either the top or bottom of the cabinet frame, taking up 5U of frame space while contributing 3U of usable 19-inch EIA rack mount capacity. It is intended for IT, AV and facilities teams who need rack mount access at the front or rear of a C2 cabinet without dedicating a full door panel to that area.

Construction is 14-gauge mild steel finished in textured RAL 9005 black powder paint coat, a finish that complies with the Greenguard guidelines for indoor air quality. Overall dimensions are 8.75 in (222 mm) high by 19.50 in (495 mm) wide by 0.75 in (19 mm) deep, with a 19-inch mounting width of 18.35 in (466 mm), an inside width of 17.81 in (452 mm) and 0.28 in (7 mm) mounting holes on E.I.A. spacing. Shipping weight is 2.55 lbs (1.16 kg).

The 3U rail section measures 4.75 in (121 mm), with a 5.31 in (135 mm) inside dimension noted on the drawing. Mounting hardware is included. Because the kit is designed to fit within the frame opening, a C2 door can be installed above or below the CBA1985BK1 for a combined door-and-rack-mount solution, or the adapter can be used to create rack mount access where cable entry or equipment mounting is required.
