CAGNUTM6-50 is a 50-piece jar of M6 cage nuts for square-hole rack rails, intended for IT and AV integrators, electricians, facilities teams and OEM engineers who mount equipment in square-hole racks and cabinets. Each nut snaps into a standard 0.375 in (9.54 mm) square hole to create a strong threaded mounting point for servers, switches, patch panels, PDUs, UPS systems and other rack-mounted equipment.
The cage nuts are made from SAE 1050-1065 spring steel, heat treated by austempering to 40-45 R/C for consistent spring tension and secure retention in the rail. A zinc-plated finish provides corrosion resistance for long-term reliability. The rear-loading design allows quick installation into square-hole rails, and the nuts are rated for use with panel thicknesses from 0.064 in to 0.105 in.
Per the drawing (NTS18096), the body measures 9.7 mm (A) by 13.2 mm (B) by 13.7 mm (C), with a 3.3 mm (D) and 6.4 mm (E) dimension at the cage flange, and carries an M6 thread. Shipping weight for the 50-piece jar is 0.5 lbs (0.23 kg).
