Hammond C4XSC664SS 6x6x4 Inch Type 4X Stainless Screw Cover Junction Box

Part number C4XSC664SS is a square-faced C4XSC Series junction box measuring 6 x 6 x 4 in (152 x 152 x 102 mm). Its heavy duty screw cover makes it a practical wiring, junction, terminal or pull box for contractors, panel shops and facilities teams. It is designed for indoor or outdoor applications where it will be subject to hose down/precipitation or corrosion.

Because this is a 6 x 6 in size, the body and cover are formed from 14 gauge 304 stainless steel; the series uses 12 gauge material only on sizes 30 x 30 in and larger. Seams are smooth and continuously welded, and the box is supplied without knockouts, cutouts or holes, so you place entries exactly where your layout needs them. The enclosure and cover are left unpainted with a brushed #4 finish.

The cover is secured by captivated stainless steel screws that thread into sealed wells, and a seamless poured-in-place gasket seals the opening. Per the drawing, the door measures 6.19 x 6.19 in, the opening is 4.63 x 4.63 in, the clear space available on the door is 5.50 x 5.50 in, and the usable depth is 3.86 in. There is no provision for an inner mounting panel.

The C4XSC Series is UL 508A Listed as Type 3, 4X and 12 and cULus Listed per CSA C22.2 No 94, and complies with NEMA Type 3, 4X and 12 and IEC 60529 IP66. The part is RoHS and REACH compliant (UL File E65324). For external mounting, add the C4XMTGFOOT mounting foot kit, sold separately. Shipping weight of C4XSC664SS is 3 lbs (1.36 kg).
