The C4XSC24246SS is a large 24 x 24 x 6 in (610 x 610 x 152 mm) Type 4X stainless steel junction box with a heavy duty screw cover. Its 22.63 in square opening on a 6 in deep body suits wide, relatively shallow terminal or pull box layouts in wet and corrosive areas.
Body and cover are 14 gauge 304 stainless steel with smooth, continuously welded seams and no knockouts, cutouts or holes, so you punch only the entries your job needs. Captivated stainless steel cover screws thread into sealed wells, and a seamless poured-in-place gasket seals the cover. Enclosure and cover are unpainted with a brushed #4 finish.
Per the drawing, the body measures 24.13 x 24.13 in and the cover 24.19 x 24.19 in, with a 22.63 in high x 22.63 in wide opening, 23.50 x 23.50 in of clear space available on the door and 5.86 in of usable depth. Shipping weight is 45 lbs (20.41 kg).
The box is UL 508A Listed and cULus Listed per CSA C22.2 No 94 for Type 3, 4X and 12, and complies with NEMA Type 3, 4X and 12 and IEC 60529 IP66 (UL File E65324). It is REACH and RoHS compliant. There is no provision for an inner mounting panel; the mounting foot kit C4XMTGFOOT is sold separately, and replacement cover screws (1421A4XLCS25SS) and washers/sealed wells (1421A4XLCW25) come in packs of 25.
