Hammond C4BD2473VBK1 42U Vented Split Barn Door for 24-Inch Cabinets

The C4BD2473VBK1 is a 42U vented split (barn) door built exclusively for use with the C4 Cabinet Series, sized for cabinets 24.00 in (610 mm) wide. Because it splits into two leaves instead of swinging as one large panel, it is a practical choice for IT, AV and facilities teams working in tight aisles, alcoves or rooms where a full-width door swing would block access to adjacent equipment.

Construction is 16-gauge steel finished in a textured RAL9005 black powder paint coat that complies with the Greenguard guidelines for indoor air quality. The vented panel provides 63% perforation open area to support airflow through the cabinet for heat-generating equipment; Hammond suggests perforated doors on both the front and back of the cabinet for most server applications.

The door drawing for C4BD2473VBK1 lists a perforated area height of 68.31 in (1735 mm) within an overall panel height of 73.31 in (1862 mm), and the assembly includes a lock wing handle, a lock rod assembly, a master barn door leaf, a slave leaf, and three right-hand and three left-hand 180-degree opening hinges. Shipping weight is 55 lbs (24.95 kg).

Installation uses the C4 Series integrated spring pin at the top and bottom of the door, so the door drops into a C4 cabinet frame without special tooling, and the supplied hinges mount to the cabinet. As supplied, the door is hinged on the left and swings from right to left; for right-hand hinging, order the C4RHINGE.
