Hammond C3SC363612GY 36x36x12 Inch Type 3/4/12 Steel Junction Box

Part number C3SC363612GY is a square-faced C3SC Series junction box measuring 36 x 36 x 12 in (914 x 914 x 305 mm). Its heavy duty screw cover makes it a practical wiring, junction, terminal or pull box for contractors, panel shops and facilities teams. It is designed for indoor or outdoor applications where it will be subject to windblown dust or rain.

At 36 x 36 in, this size steps up to 12 gauge mild steel for both the body and the cover, compared with 14 gauge on sizes up to 24 x 24 in. Seams are smooth and continuously welded, and the box is supplied without knockouts, cutouts or holes, so you place entries exactly where your layout needs them. The enclosure and cover carry an ANSI 61 gray powder coating inside and outside.

The cover is secured by captivated stainless steel screws that thread into sealed wells, and a seamless poured-in-place gasket seals the opening. Per the drawing, the door measures 36.19 x 36.19 in, the opening is 34.63 x 34.63 in, the clear space available on the door is 35.50 x 35.50 in, and the usable depth is 12.00 in. There is no provision for an inner mounting panel.

The C3SC Series is UL 508A Listed as Type 3, 4 and 12 and cULus Listed per CSA C22.2 No 94, and complies with NEMA Type 3, 4 and 12 and IEC 60529 IP66.
