Hammond C3SC12124GY 12x12x4 Inch Type 3/4/12 Steel Screw Cover Junction Box

The C3SC12124GY is a 12 x 12 x 4 in (305 x 305 x 102 mm) square-faced junction box from the C3SC Series, built with a heavy duty screw cover for electricians, panel builders and OEM engineers who need a sealed wiring box, junction box, terminal box or pull box. It is designed for indoor or outdoor applications where it will be subject to windblown dust or rain.

Because this is a 12 x 12 in size, the body and cover are formed from 14 gauge mild steel; the series uses 12 gauge material only on sizes 30 x 30 in and larger. Seams are smooth and continuously welded, and the box is supplied without knockouts, cutouts or holes, so you place entries exactly where your layout needs them. The enclosure and cover carry an ANSI 61 gray powder coating inside and outside.

The cover is secured by captivated stainless steel screws that thread into sealed wells, and a seamless poured-in-place gasket seals the opening. Per the drawing, the door measures 12.19 x 12.19 in, the opening is 10.63 x 10.63 in, the clear space available on the door is 11.50 x 11.50 in, and the usable depth is 3.86 in. There is no provision for an inner mounting panel.

The C3SC Series is UL 508A Listed as Type 3, 4 and 12 and cULus Listed per CSA C22.2 No 94, and complies with NEMA Type 3, 4 and 12 and IEC 60529 IP66. The part is RoHS and REACH compliant (UL File E65324). For external mounting, add the C3MTGFOOT mounting foot kit, sold separately. Shipping weight of C3SC12124GY is 11 lbs (4.99 kg).
