Hammond C3RWT836G 8x8x36-Inch Type 3R Galvanized Steel Wiring Trough

The C3RWT836G is a 8x8x36 inch Type 3R wiring trough from the C3RWTG Series, built from unpainted galvanized steel. It is designed to protect multiple wiring junctions in outdoor environments against the ingress of rain, sleet, snow and the external formation of ice, making it a practical choice for electricians, contractors and facilities teams routing conductors outside.

Nominal size is 8 in high by 8 in deep by 36 in long (203 mm x 203 mm x 914 mm). The part drawing shows an overall length of 36.88 in and an overall cross-section of 8.44 in, with a front opening of 34.75 in by 6.42 in and an inside dimension of 7.86 in. Shipping weight is 33 lbs (14.97 kg), packed in a box.

The trough is formed and spot welded from 14 or 16 gauge galvanized steel, and a drip shield top design protects it against rain, snow or sleet. A slip on removable front cover is secured with screws for access to the wiring inside.

For wall installation, the back of the C3RWT836G carries 4 mounting holes of 0.30 in diameter, spaced 32.00 in apart along the length. Effective August 17, 2026, the grounding strap and padlocking hasp previously included are no longer provided with each trough.

Compliance: UL870 Type 3R (UL File E186830), CSA Type 3R (CSA Cert. LL21312), and complies with NEMA Type 3R and IEC 60529 IP24. The part is REACH and RoHS compliant.
