The C3R363612SCNKO is a 36 in x 36 in x 12 in (914 mm x 914 mm x 305 mm) Type 3R painted galvanized steel junction box from the C3R SC NKO Series. It has a lift-off cover fastened with screws and is supplied without knockouts, making it a large wiring or junction box for electricians and contractors working on outdoor service equipment and building wiring.
The series is designed for use as a wiring/junction box and provides protection against rain, sleet, snow and dripping water. It is UL-50 Type 3R, cUL Type 3R to CSA Standard C22.2, No. 94 (CSA Type 3R), and complies with NEMA Type 3R and IEC 60529 IP24. This part carries UL File E65324 and CSA Cert. LL21312, and is RoHS and REACH compliant.
Construction is formed and spot welded from 16 or 14 gauge galvanized steel, with a drip-shield top and seam-free sides, front and back. The slip-on removable cover is fastened with plated steel screws, and a padlocking hasp is provided for securing it. Note that this series has no gasket, consistent with its Type 3R rating.
Embossed mounting holes on the back of the enclosure allow direct wall mounting, and the drawing shows 0.28 in diameter holes. A grounding kit is provided. The enclosure and cover are finished in ANSI 61 gray powder coating over the galvanized steel.
