Hammond C2T2436FBK1 Six 4.7 in Fan Cutout Cabinet Top Panel, Black

The C2T2436FBK1 is a steel fan top panel for rack cabinets, punched with six 4.70 in (119 mm) openings that can be fitted with 4 in tube axial fans, left open for cable entry, or covered in any combination. It is aimed at IT, network, telecom, AV and broadcast teams who need to add or adapt top-of-cabinet airflow without replacing the cabinet itself. Fans are not supplied with this part; DNFK4AC120 fans are sold separately.

Construction is 14-gauge mild steel with a RAL9005 black textured powder coat finish that is GREENGUARD, TSCA and RoHS compliant. A light gray version of the same panel is catalogued as C2T2436FLG1. The panel measures 28.25 in (718 mm) by 25.00 in (635 mm) overall, with 4.56 in (116 mm) diameter fan cutouts each surrounded by four .19 in (5 mm) fan mounting holes, plus .22 in (6 mm) fixing holes for attachment to the cabinet frame.

Mounting hardware is included: 8-32 U-clip nuts are installed on top of the cabinet frame, the panel is set in place, and the supplied 8-32 x 1/2 screws are tightened with a Phillips screwdriver. The C2TF Series panels are designed for use with C2, C2RR, C4, C4RR_A, C4RR_S, C4RR_D, H1, RCK or CLC cabinet series; H1 cabinets require the H1TC Series for mounting.

Because the openings serve as either fan positions or cable pass-throughs, C2T2436FBK1 suits cabinets whose cooling strategy may change over time — start passive, then populate the cutouts with fans as heat loads grow.
