The Hammond BKWM2408 is a barrier kit for 2 door, Type 4 wallmount enclosures, listed for use with a 24 in high enclosure that is 8 in deep (24H x 8D). It divides the cabinet into 2 vertical sections, for example separating the power section from the control section within one enclosure. It is intended for panel builders, electricians and OEM engineers laying out mixed power and control equipment.
The kit is designed for the HN4WM Series. The barrier is depth mounted: it bolts to the inner panel at the rear and to the center post at the front, and the mounting hardware is included in the kit.
The barrier measures 21 in x 7.25 in x 1 in (533 mm x 184 mm x 25 mm) (H x W x D). Panels are steel and painted white. The shipping weight is 5 lbs (2.27 kg), and the kit ships in a box.
Note that the BKWM2408 does NOT provide complete physical separation: space is left above and below the barrier so wiring can run between the two sections. It is RoHS and REACH compliant.
