The Hammond BKFM7224 is a barrier kit for 2 door, Type 4 floormount enclosures, listed for use with a 72 in high enclosure that is 24 in deep (72H x 24D). It divides the cabinet into 2 vertical sections, for example separating the power section from the control section within one enclosure. It is intended for panel builders, electricians and OEM engineers laying out mixed power and control equipment.
The kit is designed for the HN4FM Series, 1422N4 Series and 2STFSD Series. The barrier is depth mounted: it bolts to the inner panel at the rear and to the center post at the front, and the mounting hardware is included in the kit.
The barrier measures 68 in x 23.25 in x 1 in (1,727 mm x 591 mm x 25 mm) (H x W x D). Panels are steel and painted white. The shipping weight is 63 lbs (28.58 kg), and the kit ships in a box.
Note that the BKFM7224 does NOT provide complete physical separation: space is left above and below the barrier so wiring can run between the two sections. It is RoHS and REACH compliant.
