Hammond 560G 150/600 Ohm Isolating Broadcast Audio Transformer

The 560G is a 1:1 broadcast quality audio transformer with 150/600 ohm windings on both primary and secondary. It is listed for isolating or hybrid applications, so it suits broadcast and pro audio engineers who need an isolating or hybrid transformer with matched 150/600 ohm windings on a printed circuit board.

The 560 Series is built in a rugged black epoxy potted case with 9 pin connections (.025" square by 0.5" long) for P.C. board mounting. An electrostatic shield between primary and secondary is connected to the core and brought out to pin "SH", the construction is humbucking, and balanced split windings on both primary and secondary add circuit versatility; primaries and secondaries can also be reversed for impedance matching. Insertion loss is 1 dB maximum, and higher signal levels are possible with reduced low frequency performance.

Rated output is 0 dbm across 30 Hz to 30 kHz, typically +/- 0.5 dB at +0 dbm and +/- 1.0 dB at +10 and +27 dbm with no D.C. saturation. Typical values are 13.30 ohm primary and 15.30 ohm secondary DCR, 0.824 H inductance on each winding, 0.509 mH leakage inductance and 8.951 K / 9.127 K ohm impedance at 1 kHz. The turns ratio is 1:1, dielectric strength is 500 Vrms and the epoxy's workable range is -40 to 105°C.
