Hammond 515-0930 7.4x6 in 15° Sloped Console, Aluminum Rear

The 515-0930 is a sloped console enclosure from the 500-515-519 Series of sloped aluminum and steel consoles with side ventilation. The 15 degree sloped top suits desktop control panels, operator interfaces and instruments where controls and displays need to face the user, and it is aimed at electronics designers, OEM engineers and panel builders.

It measures 7.40 in wide by 6.00 in deep, with a 1.13 in front height and a 2.13 in rear height, and has an aluminum rear surface for a low-profile layout with a wider panel than the 515-0920. The part page lists its size as 7.4 in x 6 in x 2.13 in (188 mm x 152 mm x 54 mm) and a shipping weight of 1.5 lbs (0.68 kg).

The base is 18 gauge steel for extra strength (the drawing specifies 0.05 in steel for the enclosure case), and the sloped top panel is 0.064 in thick aluminum that is easy to machine for switches, displays and connectors. The sides include vertical rows of ventilation, and the rear surface is aluminum. The console carries an IP30 rating.

It is sold pre-assembled with a two tone grey powder paint finish: a dark satin grey base and a smooth light grey slope top. Adhesive rubber feet and the required hardware are included. Replacement cover screws are SC19482-50 (package of 50, #6 x 1/4 in Philips self-tapping) and grey self-adhesive rubber feet are 1421T2GY (package of 4). Factory modification such as milling, drilling and printing is available, and solid models can be had in STEP or IGES.
