The 513-0900 is the largest of the three 511-513 Series ventilated steel instrument enclosures, offering the most internal room for circuit boards, transformers, controls and wiring in a vented desktop utility case. It is aimed at engineers, technicians and makers who need a rigid steel box with room to work.
The 18 ga. steel base and top give strength so the front and back panels will not push in from mounted buttons, controls or connectors. Two horizontal rows of ventilation run along each side, and reversing the case gives a choice of sloping or vertical sides. It is supplied pre-assembled in two tone grey powder coat: a dark satin grey top with a smooth light grey bottom, front and back. The enclosure is rated IP30 and is RoHS and REACH compliant.
The 513-0900 measures 4.75 in (121 mm) wide and 3.50 in (89 mm) high, with an 8.63 in (219 mm) top length and a 7.88 in (200 mm) bottom length. The drawing gives an overall length of 219.77 mm [8.65 in]. The case is 0.05" steel, and shipping weight is 2.48 lbs (1.12 kg).
Four self-adhesive rubber feet and required hardware come with the case. Replacement screws are SC19482-50 (pack of 50, #6 x 1/4" self-tapping) and grey feet are 1421T2GY (pack of 4). The factory can mill, drill and print the enclosure on request, and STEP or IGES solid models are available.
