The 512-0900 is the smallest enclosure in the 511-513 Series ventilated steel instrument line. It is a compact utility case for small control boxes, sensors, interface circuits and hobby builds where a sturdy, vented metal housing is needed in a small footprint.
Both the base and top are 18 ga. steel, giving front and back panels that will not push in when fitted with buttons, controls or connectors. Two horizontal rows of ventilation run along each side. The case can be oriented for sloping or vertical sides by reversing it. It ships pre-assembled with a two tone grey powder coat finish: dark satin grey top; smooth light grey bottom, front and back. It is IP30 rated and RoHS and REACH compliant.
Dimensions are 3.00 in (76 mm) wide by 2.00 in (51 mm) high, with a 5.25 in (133 mm) top length and a 4.88 in (124 mm) bottom length. The drawing shows an overall length of 134.82 mm [5.31 in] and an 81.7° side angle. The case is made from 0.05" steel, and the shipping weight is 0.9 lbs (0.41 kg).
The 512-0900 comes with four self-adhesive rubber feet and required hardware. Replacement screws are SC19482-50 (pack of 50, #6 x 1/4" self-tapping) and replacement grey feet are 1421T2GY (pack of 4). The case can be factory modified (milling, drilling, printing), and STEP or IGES solid models are available.
