The 511-0900 is the middle size of the 511-513 Series ventilated steel instrument enclosures, a compact utility case for electronic hobbyists, test engineers and OEMs housing small circuits, power supplies or controls. The base and top are both 18 ga. steel, so the front and back panels will not push in when buttons, controls or connectors are mounted on them.
Each side carries two horizontal rows of ventilation. Because the top is longer than the bottom, the case can be set up with sloping or vertical sides simply by reversing it. It comes pre-assembled in a two tone grey powder coat, with a dark satin grey top and smooth light grey bottom, front and back. The enclosure is rated IP30 and is RoHS and REACH compliant.
The 511-0900 is 3.63 in (92 mm) wide and 2.75 in (70 mm) high, with a 7.00 in (178 mm) top length and 6.50 in (165 mm) bottom length. The drawing shows an overall length of 179.82 mm [7.08 in] and a side angle of 81.0°. Case material is 0.05" steel, and shipping weight is 1.4 lbs (0.64 kg).
Four self-adhesive rubber feet and the required hardware are supplied. Replacement screws are SC19482-50 (pack of 50, #6 x 1/4" self-tapping) and replacement grey feet are 1421T2GY. Factory milling, drilling and printing are available on request, and solid models can be had in STEP or IGES.
