The Hammond 2STFSD747524SS is a Type 4X sloped top, two-door freestanding disconnect enclosure formed from 304 stainless steel, supplied with an inner panel. It is built to house large disconnect switches and circuit breakers in harsh industrial environments, and its 20° sloped top prevents water from resting on top of the enclosure. The 304 stainless grade covers general corrosion-resistant duty; the same size is also offered in 316 stainless steel as part number 2STFSD747524S16.
The body is formed from 12 gauge stainless steel with smooth, continuously welded seams and a natural, smooth brushed finish. A flange trough collar (FTC) around the door opening excludes liquids and contaminants, a seamless poured-in-place gasket seals the doors, and heavy duty lifting eyes are anchored into reinforced top corners.
Overall size is 74.13 in H1 x 75.13 in W x 24.13 in D (1,883 mm x 1,908 mm x 613 mm), with an H2 height of 79.49 in (2019 mm) at the peak of the sloped top. The formed 10 gauge steel inner panel measures 68.00 x 68.00 in (1727 x 1727 mm), is finished in white powder coating and mounts on collar studs, and the drawing shows 23.37 in of usable depth. At 24.13 in (613 mm) this is the deepest of the three depths (12.13, 18.13 and 24.13 in) offered in the series. Shipping weight is 1227 lbs (556.56 kg) on a skid.
The right-hand door is the main door; its handle includes a screwdriver defeater and padlock hasp, and a mechanical interlock prevents the auxiliary door from being opened first. The pre-installed flange cutout accepts flange mounted disconnect operators from ABB, Allen Bradley, C-H Westinghouse / Cutler Hammer, General Electric, Siemens and Square D (verify compatibility in advance), and interlock hardware is included. Disconnect switches, circuit breakers and operators are not provided.
The series is listed to UL 508A and CSA Type 3R, 12, 4 and 4X and complies with NEMA Type 3R, 12, 13, 4, 4X and IEC 60529 IP66 (UL File E65324, CSA LR21001) when appropriate components are used.
