The 2CMC48 "C" channel mounting kit is sized for 48 in (1219 mm) wide Series 2000 console units, including turrets, data terminals and bases. Its job is to give base panels and all rail support kits an adjustable mounting structure that can be moved side to side inside the enclosure.
The kit includes four textured black channels. Dimension A, from the ordering table, is 47.50 in (1207 mm), matching the length shown on the drawing. Per the drawing, the channel profile is 1.63 in wide and 0.88 in high, with 0.28 in diameter holes; this longer size also shows 0.31 in diameter holes with a 22.50 in dimension called out along the channel.
On a 48 in wide turret, data terminal or base, the adjustable channels help installers place rail support kits and base panels where the equipment layout requires them, and the channels can be repositioned later if that layout changes. Buyers fitting out several console units can order the matching kit width for each unit: 24 in, 36 in, 48 in or 60 in.
