The 298GT is the 1500VA flagship of the 298 Series, with the largest case and a 15 amp breaker. It plugs into a standard 120VAC, 50/60 Hz North American outlet and supplies 240VAC through an isolated secondary, letting integrators, service technicians and test benches power 240V equipment where only 120V circuits are available.
Inside is a toroidal transformer, used for high isolation, low noise, light weight, cool operation and low profile, and the primary-to-secondary insulation is Hi-Pot tested at 4,000V RMS. The ventilated black steel case carries a rocker lighted on-off switch, and the output is circuit breaker protected; the drawing for the 298GT specifies a 15 amp breaker.
The input is a cord with a standard North American NEMA 5-15P plug, and the output is a North American duplex 3-wire grounded NEMA 6-15R receptacle, giving two outlets. For international pinouts, the 298G adaptor series is available. Overall dimensions are 12.50 in (318 mm) long, 9.00 in (229 mm) wide and 5.00 in (127 mm) high, with a shipping weight of 39 lbs (17.69 kg).
The 298GT carries C UL and UL listing (File #E211544), is RoHS and REACH compliant, and is for indoor use only.
