Hammond 266PA12 72VA 12V CT / 6V @ 12A Low Voltage Transformer

The 266PA12 is a 72VA power transformer rated 12V @ 6A with a center tap or 6V @ 12A with its secondaries in parallel. It is an open style, chassis mount member of the 266 Series with a dual 117/234 VAC, 50/60 Hz primary.

For a 12V or 6V load that needs more current than the 48VA 266N12B provides, the 266PA12 raises the ratings to 6A and 12A in a Style A body weighing 2.63 lbs (1.19 kg).

Each unit has a dual 117/234 VAC, 50/60 Hz primary (wired in parallel for 117V, in series for 234V) and dual secondaries that can be used as a center tapped secondary, connected in parallel, or used individually. The 266PA12 is designed for use with all windings engaged. Primary leads are Blk, Wht, Brn and Orn; secondary leads are Red, Blu, Gry and Yel, all at least 6" long.

It uses Mounting Style A with a 0.19 in (5 mm) mounting hole width. Listed dimensions are A 4.03 in (102 mm), B 2.50 in (64 mm), C 2.63 in (67 mm), D 3.56 in (90 mm). Unit weight is 2.63 lbs (1.19 kg), with a shipping weight of 4 lbs (1.81 kg).

Construction uses a dual bobbin design, so no electrostatic shield is required, and Class B insulation (130 °C), while the unit is UL listed as a Class A (105 °C) design. It is hi-pot tested at 2,000V RMS, UL listed (# E207860) Type 3AH, CSA certified (209651), and RoHS and REACH compliant.
