Hammond 266G48 24VA 48V/24V Chassis Mount Power Transformer

The 266G48 is a 24 VA power transformer providing 48 V at 0.5 A with the secondaries in series (center-tapped) or 24 V at 1 A in parallel. It suits equipment that needs a 48 V or 24 V AC winding from a 117 or 234 VAC line.

The primary accepts 117 or 234 VAC at 50/60 Hz; the 266 Series connection diagrams show the primaries wired in parallel for 117 VAC and in series for 234 VAC. The secondaries can be used as a center tapped secondary (48V @ 0.5A), parallel connected (24V @ 1A) or used individually, and the unit is designed for use with all windings engaged. Every unit is hi-pot tested at 2,000V RMS.

Construction is open style with minimum 6" long leads and a dual bobbin design, so no electrostatic shield is required. Class B insulation (130 °C) is used for extra protection, and the design is UL listed as a Class A (105 °C) design.

It doubles the current of the 12 VA 266F48 at the same 48 V / 24 V outputs and uses mounting style V. The ordering table gives mounting style V, dimensions A 3.25 in (83 mm), B 2.00 in (51 mm), C 2.00 in (51 mm) and D 2.81 in (71 mm), a mounting hole width of 0.19 in (5 mm) and a weight of 1.5 lb (0.68 kg); shipping weight is 2.2 lbs (1.00 kg).

The series is UL listed (# E207860) Type 3AH and CSA certified (209651), and the 266G48 is listed as RoHS and REACH compliant (UPC 623980036755).
