Hammond 262D12 12VA Plate & Filament Transformer, 12.6V Heater

The 262D12 is a compact 12 VA plate & filament or bias transformer from the 261-262 Series, intended for small power or bias supplies, test equipment and preamps. It suits builders and service technicians who need a modest high-voltage winding plus a 12.6 volt heater or auxiliary winding in one chassis-mount part.

Electrically, the secondary #1 winding delivers 120V at 53 mA RMS, while the filament secondary #2 supplies 12.6V at 0.45A RMS. The series specification sheet lists a 115 VAC, 60 Hz primary for this model (only 261B6, 261D6, 261GE6 and 262EE6 are listed with different primaries). The wiring follows schematic Figure 2 of the series sheet.

Physically, the unit measures 3.25 in (83 mm) for dimension A, 1.62 in (41 mm) for B, 2.00 in (51 mm) for C and 2.81 in (71 mm) for D, with dimension G given as 0.19 in (5 mm). It is fitted with the series' economical two hole channel bracket for chassis mounting and has minimum 5" long leads. The shipping weight is 1 lb (0.45 kg).
