The 240GT is the 1500VA model in the 240 Series of plug-in toroidal isolation transformers. It takes a 240VAC, 50/60 Hz supply and delivers 240VAC on the output, giving electricians, integrators and equipment builders a simple way to add circuit isolation between a 240V outlet and sensitive gear without changing the voltage.
A toroidal core is used for high isolation, low noise, light weight, cool operation and a low profile. The transformer sits in a ventilated black steel case with a rocker lighted on-off switch, and the output is protected by a circuit breaker; the drawing for this size identifies a 7 amp breaker. Input is through a cord and North American NEMA 6-15P plug, and the output is a standard 3-wire grounded duplex NEMA 6-15R receptacle, giving two outlets.

Keep two points in mind when planning an installation. First, the 240GT works on 50 or 60 Hz but does not convert line frequency.
