Hammond 197B15 0.5mH 15A High Frequency Reactor, Screw Terminals

The 197B15 is a high frequency reactor rated 0.5 mH at 15 A DC with screw terminals. It is intended for high frequency filtering applications operating from 60 Hz to 10 kHz.

The drawing lists typical inductance with bias of 0.5 mH ±15% at 15 ADC, a self-resonant frequency of 812.3 kHz, impedance at SRF of 10.50K ohms, ripple current of 20% peak-to-peak and DCR of 39 mOhm ±15% at 20°C. Dielectric strength is 2500 V RMS and temperature range -40 to 105C. The core is high permeability carbonyl iron powder, described as ideal for applications below 50 kHz. The label reads 0.5mH ±15%, 15A DC, 60Hz to 10kHz @ 10% ADC.

Construction uses an aluminum base, stainless steel band and open-style terminals. Size is 3.31 x 3.40 x 2.50 in (84 x 86 x 64 mm) with a 2.50 x 2.00 in (64 x 51 mm) mounting hole pattern.
