Hammond 195R10 50mH 10A Single-Coil Heavy Current Choke

The 195R10 is a single-coil heavy current chassis mount choke rated 50 mH at 10 A DC. It is intended for DC power supply filtering where a 10 A load needs high inductance, and it is backed by a detailed part drawing with test criteria.

The open core and coil assembly uses 4-slot bracket mounting and lug terminals. The part page lists 0.165 ohms resistance and Class A insulation; the drawing specifies DCR of 0.163 ohms ±20% at 20°C lug to lug, inductance of 50 mH ±15% at 10 ADC, and exciting current of 195 mA to 265 mA at 5.0 V, 60 Hz. Across the 195-196 Series, inductance and resistance are held to a 15% tolerance, inductance is measured at rated D.C. current, and connections are made to a screw terminal or heavy copper tabs with holes. The series is rated for operation from -40C to 85C and storage from -40C to 105C, with a recommended maximum operating voltage of 600 VAC winding to core. Chokes in the series are hipot tested at 2,500 VAC. The chokes are UL approved under Type 3AH, E207860, 30V7, and this part is listed as RoHS and REACH compliant.
