Hammond 195A200 0.3mH 200A Heavy Current Chassis Mount Choke

The Hammond 195A200 is a heavy current, single coil chassis mount choke from the 195 Series, rated 0.3 mH at 200 A DC. It is built for high current power supply filtering and suits power electronics engineers and OEMs designing DC supplies that carry very high currents.

Construction is open core and coil with a 4-slot bracket mount. The part has a resistance of 0.0012 ohms. Its manufacturer drawing specifies an excitation current (Iex) of 5.41 to 7.32 A at 1 V, 60 Hz, an operating voltage of 750 VAC max and 600 VDC max, and a hipot test of 2500 V, 60 Hz for 1 second, primary to core. Series data gives a recommended maximum operating voltage of 600 VAC winding to core and states that all 195-196 chokes are UL approved under Type 3AH, E207860, 30V7.

Inductance is measured at rated D.C. current, with a 15% tolerance on both inductance and resistance. It operates from -40C to 85C and can be stored from -40C to 105C. The 195A200 is RoHS and REACH compliant. For AC applications from 60 Hz to 10,000 Hz, the manufacturer points to its 197 Series.
